This Privacy Policy explains how ViaSport collects, uses, and discloses the personal information that you may provide while the using B.C. Activity Reporter website (the "Website").

ViaSport does not collect personally identifiable information from individuals through the BC Activity Reporter website unless they provide it to us voluntarily and knowingly. However, in order take advantage of some of the reporting and data collection applications you have to provide contact information to become a member and create an account. Contact information means information that would enable an individual to be contacted at a place of business and includes name, position name or title, business telephone number, business address, business email (home email is “personal”) or business fax number.  Contact information is not covered by this policy or PIPA.

We may use your contact information to correspond with you, respond to your inquiries, process instructions or to facilitate and enhance your use of the Website.  We may send to you, from time to time, e-mail or other communications containing information about us, our activities and other matters that we believe will be of interest to you. Any personally identifying information that you have provided to us for the purpose of contact information may be used in this manner.

To help protect the confidentiality of your contact and personal information, we employ security safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information. Nevertheless, due to the nature of the Internet and Internet technologies, security and privacy risks cannot be entirely eliminated.

Accessing or Removing Contact Information

At any time you may terminate your membership account ask us remove your contact information from the system by contacting us at support@viasport.ca

You may request access to your contact information and information about our collection, use and disclosure of that information by contacting us at support@viasport.ca.  We attempt to keep our records as accurate and complete as possible. You can help us maintain the accuracy of your information by notifying us of any changes to your contact information.

Unless you request its removal, your contact information will be retained for a period of up to three years and then will be rendered anonymous for statistical purposes.  At the end of the retention time, you will be asked if you wish to have your contact information remain active.

The Website contains links to other websites. When you click on one of those links you are contacting another website or Internet resource. We have no responsibility or liability for or control over those other websites or Internet resources or their collection, use and disclosure of your personal information.
